Other Ideas for your Side Table

Whilst typically a side table is used in the living room for lamps and placing cups & glasses on, there are some other uses throughout the home that it can be used for. Because they are quite small they are highly flexible and lend themselves to a variety of uses and, whilst they might not be the ideal solution in many of these instances, they can come in handy:
1) Using as a dressing table in the bedroom - Although they are small, many side tables come with a drawer, perfect for storage of makeup and cosmetics. If you can get one wide enough you can place a mirror on it and you have a cheap dressing table (albeit you may have to get on your knees to put your makeup on). This is handy if you are on a tight budget or don't have a lot of room but want to squeeze something in. Alternatively, if you are looking for something a bit more classical we would recommend this white dressing tables website. It highlights a range of dressing tables all in stunning white, if using a side table isn't really a compromise that you'd like to make.
2) In the kitchen - If you have a large enough kitchen and would like to place something decorative / ornamental, then consider using a side table instead of using up valuable worktop space. If you can buy an oak or pine side table then this style fits in very well with many country / rural style kitchen units.
